       @stux please put a warning that there are flashing lights. Thank you for considering. It’s not only dangerous for epileptics but it can also be overstimulating. In some cases it’s both.

       @ioccc @teajaygrey the funny thing about the try.sh and try.alt.sh scripts when I devised the system is that it's based solely on the fact the remarks have 'Try:'. It was really that boring but also useful. And now you like submissions that use them. So I guess boring things can also be fun when it comes to the IOCCC! 🙂

       @aral @Codeberg he is a bloody idiot. He doesn’t even know what #AI is! He means #LLM. LLM generates buggy code and often doesn’t even compile. Often it is not portable. It is non deterministic. That alone should say everything. The AI craze is the tech Frankenstein and it’s a giant scam. I wouldn’t worry about what someone who clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about let alone his arse from his elbow is talking about. AI my arse.

       @aral @Codeberg and someone should start a list of all the broken code LLM has generated and link back to his post. Maybe I should. Just a matter of finding the time. He doesn’t have a bloody clue. It’s just noise from a person who clearly doesn’t know much about programming if he knows anything about it at all.

       @aral @Codeberg That's a classic - and so very very true! I think also that CEOs (I think I saw that) really are not only clueless but totally out of touch. Even OpenAI - the name - is a misnomer at best. They can talk about it being #AI all they want but the fact ChatGPT doesn't learn (memories don't count) and will give different answers over and over again says it all. We should be thankful. But perhaps not: google's so-called 'AI' Overview has said some extremely dangerous and deadly things!

       @davidrevoy #Siri is an idiot but it depends on what you say to her whether or not she will engage. But the not engaging idea is ‘I won’t respond to that’ (which is responding). In the past I once said to sod off and she said ‘goodbye would be more polite’ but not now. If you ask her if she’s an ignorant moron she says she doesn’t understand. Even so I usually say please to requests it’s just that sometimes she is so stupid I am rude to her. Especially when she won’t go away.
