       So, I finally bought a fucking lamp.But I would like it noted that I did so under protest, because the age of online shopping has enabled late-stage capitalism to do its absolute worst, making every product cheaper and more disposable, selling the same lousy plastic under fifty brand names to outrun the bad reviews that people leave to make themselves feel better, even as ten bots paste "i love product" to drown them out, and leaving every shopper with the certain knowledge that the only difference between the cheap product and the expensive product is that one of them is a brand name you might have heard of and will desperately grasp at in the hope of buying something that will last a year.But I bought a fucking lamp anyway, because it's dark in here.

       @grammargirl Possible low tech solution: "shuffle" using an ordered method.Like, take the discard pile, deal it out into 3 piles (like 1,2,3,3,1,2,3,3) and then stack the piles 2 onto 3 onto 1.
