       @fitheach agreed. and good thing for you that dogs are pretty chill about that. i once enjoyed an extraordinary portion of roasted garlic that overstayed its welcome with my family as soon as we arrived back home. basically sent them running! (me too, but I still don't regret it.)

       @fitheach i'm reeling from almost identical sticker shock for a band coming to california in july, on a thursday evening. my bones really don't want to be in a standing room only auditorium -- even if the ticket came with a drink! i'll just wait for les claypool's next album, maybe.

       @fitheach they also billed it as an all ages show. while it would be thrilling to watch the next generation of “moshers“ honing their craft alongside their parents, this is Claypool's Bastard Jazz show. i honestly only just heard of it and can't imagine the sort of irregular dancefloor behaviors that accompany freestyle jazz. i'd like to find out, but from the mezzanine, hence my dismay with the whole arrangement. it may first require a “trial by bootleg“ and several margaritas.
