@alter_kaker @littlemiao I am letting my 10yro son read my copy of Maus (he asked to; I suspect he is going to run away screaming from it fairly soon and not want to look at it again anytime soon). But that's one of the few I am okay with. I really don't know many others I would actually trust.

Ok, I am venting my frustration and maybe a bit of anger, with a twinge of resentment; for some, this might come across as whining.Full disclosure: My kid brought COVID-19 into the house. He got sick out of town with his mother, who also got sick. I got sick, and I have had a paradoxical reaction to Paxlovid, and it made this round of COVID even worse. I am actively symptomatic and quite ill.Today is day 1395 of longcovid for me.HEY SJCS PARENTS: Did you know that school policy is now that it is okay for someone to be actively sick in a household and the child attending class in person? I didn't, not till today.My kid brought COVID-19 home from school, and now I know why.I can not isolate myself in our home environment; that is not an option, period.The school expects my kid to come home into this environment and attend classes with your kids in person on Monday.I know how I feel about it; how do you feel about it?

I am not dead, just very very exhausted now. I have survived my 3rd covid infection.I am no longer testing positive for covid.I have spent most of the past 42(??) days, in that not awake, not asleep place. Dead exhausted unable to move, barely able to move muscles.There is an intersectionality betweenen active covid / #LongCovid and #mecfs .It is actually very scary in that place, in the lucid moments. With severe enough mecfs one wastes away to death, it is a true "wasting" disease. History tells stories of how TB is a wasting disease, it doesn't hold a candle to severe mecfs [or to ALS for that matter, but that is another issue that is not one B''H that I have to deal with)But it is very very scary in that place, not knowing if it's the covid just making things worse, or the mecfs.I wish I could make it to shul, I need to bench gomel, not for the first time in my life.
