@stux Yes? Seems to work just fine. They are industry awards, organized by the industry, for the industry. That this industry consists of a lot of celebs seems correct to me.

@stux Yeah, people being famous for being famous are people I ignore. If you are famous because you do a thing and are good enough at it to have become, sure. But I'd rather talk to people that have something to say, can hold a conversation and I can learn something from.

@stux Einstein, Newton, Armstrong or Hawking aren't celebs anymore. They are historical figures, since they have passed away π

@stux I like my car because it can bring me places. Often more efficient and even cheaper then public transport. And some roads are just fun to drive. Fun that has nothing to do with speed, but more with the required effort and concentration.

@stux It is.To be fair, when I need to go into a city center, public transport all the way. But there are so many places where public transport just isn't a viable option. Especially the further away you get from the Randstad.Fun roads to drive are mostly found in other countries. I had a lot of fun in Norway last summer. An experience I wouldn't have had without a car.

@stux I live in Hilversum, and once I wanted to visit the Woudagemaal in Lemmer. Close to 4 hours travel time with public transport, about an hour by car.And I tend to get nauseous in diesel busses. So having to sit in one for 45 minutes doesn't sound like a fun time to me.Similar travel times to my parents. Either over 3 hours by OV with a call ahead bus at the end, or less then an hour by car.And the nausea means all I can do is look out the window, so no useful 'free time' there.

@stux Both the iPhone and the Bosch microphone are made in China πAt least, I know the iPhone is. Haven't looked into Bosch mic production chains.

When traveling, keep your eyes out. Sometimes you might find a road that looks suspiciously like an old railroad.Like this way to straight and level piece of seemingly country rode near Hornnes in Norway. Turned out to be part of the old Setesdal line between Kristiansand and Byglandsfjord.#Photography #RoadTrip #Norway #History #VanishingPoint

Is it controversial to like what perplexity.ai offers? Because I like it. Just dumping in search terms I would use, but getting a condensed answer with links to the used website sources.I like it so much I am looking into setting up something similar using Perplexica. Combine that with Searxng, an open LLM and you should get something similar.A shame my available GPU for server jobs is an older AMD RX 560 with 4GB VRAM."Hey Perplexity, how much is a 24GB VRM GPU?"#AI #LLM #SelfHosting

@foone Could also be a clog in the nozzle. And all those issues are reasons why I shelled out for a Bambulab printer over 2 years ago. That thing just works.
