Once you accept that there is no source of "truth" and you can't know when you're right, all you can do is advocate that everyone (including yourself) try to think more clearly. And build institutions that help with that mission.

Cultural "normal" is dictated by media trying to appeal to Americans with discretionary income on behalf of their advertisers. Low taxes, socially "kind". That's not "real" America. Paying for honest media that we won't always like is probably our only way to figure out what is.
