Big news, everybody: I switched the font I'm using in #emacs. 😆I've been a DejaVu Sans Mono diehard for years, but I wanted to increase my text size (aging eyes for sure) and didn't like the way it scaled in Emacs.I spent too many hours installing, switching, squinting, even adjusting the line-spacing variable. Finally, I went with IBM Plex Mono. At first I thought it had too much "personality" for a coding font, but now I love it. Anybody else using it? Anybody hate it?

@adham I went through the same search recently for a good Emacs font with italics. I currently use Liberation Mono, which is free software and does have italics.

@carcosa I wasn't able to subscribe to the emacs community and am also confused about how lemmy things work.

@alexelcu What about if you use Gmail but don't want to be logged in to Google at all for search?

@dnkl So it doesn't get too far ahead of the #ocaml bindings 😉

@mitchmarq42xyz It seems like few documentation writers understand the difference between tutorials and good reference manuals. So many language manuals I've seen are really just tutorials that never explain how the features actually work (or bury it at the end, as you observed.)

@ZachWeinersmith Do you have any pointers to the research behind this? I am honestly intrigued and would like to follow up.
