       #saturday nerdery: a few MODBUS TCP gateways for the #NanoPi cluster, and a super messy desk in back of my monitors. Removed most of the stuff back there, then reorganized + cleaned up. Should be finished tomorrow after cable managing a VESA mounted #NUC 11 with RTX-2060M, running #FreeBSD.

       @mastodonmigration Bluesky (not BlueSky) has nothing positive to offer at this point. It's all downsides, plenty of which have been publicized, and the excuses about it being alpha and "feature X is coming!" are nothing other than proof that their engineering team is not capable of correctly deploying their product.

       @noim Manufacturer should warranty that if it's recent, and 16TB drives are not generally out of enterprise 5yr service life. Otherwise, manufacturer refurbs on ebay are often very reliable (at least IME on Seagate + HGST SAS3 drives).

       @foone yep. it exists.
