@bortzmeyer that's strange that I get an AAAA RR (in the ADDITIONAL SECTION) when querying A if transport uses IPv6. Transport protocol must be independent from data in the DNS.

@bortzmeyer Very small TTLs (below 60s) should be banned. They are useless and make caching inefficient and are waste of energy

@bortzmeyer the ports seem to be blocked intentionally by someone who doesn't know that DNS doesn't only use UDP. I can't imagine it's not intentional

@sintzoff @bortzmeyer in my opinion, checking whether there's an internet connection is always a "hack". All methods are more or less unreliable, especially when things need to be done quickly
