It's a little easier to search and you can search by license. @wjmaggos @maddiefuzz The other obvious choices are Soundcloud (you can search by license there, too, but downloading is sometimes arcane) and Bandcamp, which is quite difficult to search properly, since google broke it.

@wjmaggos @musicman @ryno @blocsonic @lorenzosmusic I'm not completely out of my rescue gear but once I get dressed and home I'll give you the rest of my thoughts.For now: 1) BMI/ASCAP/GEMA and collecting societies are hornets' nests. But it leads me to another question-answer.2) An unnoted advantage of CC licenses is international. People from other countries don't have to guess at what laws apply when they want to use a piece of music. CC automatically says "Use me!"
