@martijnbraam You tempt me! The vast majority of these on Ebay are from China. I once ordered a "new" phone from China but it was refurbished and gave me a lot of problems. Anyways, it's going to take all my willpower not to scoop one of these up. I wonder if the voice control feature being developed for #sxmo (numen) could be made to work here. I don't see anyone going back to T9.

#Gnome Contacts just got an exciting upgrade last night! You can now import contacts directly from a .vcf file. No need to install Evolution to import. I caught it first on my desktop running #PureOS...went over to my #Librem5 only to get the update there as well. Fantastic quality of life update for PureOS, #postmarketOS, and the Gnome Apps ecosystem! I'm increasingly convinced that Linux Mobile will one day be a viable option for the average mobile user.

@benjaminhollon Not sure about that. The import function seems to only search for .vcf. CardDAV may still be possible through Evolution. I don't have any experience there. Sorry!

@benjaminhollon @craftyguy Is it just a coincidence that both of you are avocados? Am I missing some FOSS/avocado reference? 🙂

For all the supply, shipping, refund, and price issues that the #Purism #Librem5 has experienced, I cannot deny it is an impressive piece of technology. PureOS on mobile is stable and getting better every week. Camera autofocus is coming soon! #shotonlibrem5

Here it is. The Linux phone article absolutely nobody asked for!The Best Wordle Clone for Linux Phones: Warble vs. Blurble (https://linuxphoneguides.ovh/20230102-LinuxWordleClones.html)I wrote this brief article for fun and a bit of practice. Testing was done on the #Librem5 although results also apply to the #PinePhone and #PostmarketOS running Phosh. More substantial content is coming soon! Until then, get Warbling... or Blurbling... but that may depend on whether you read my article! 😀

FOSDEM 2023 is only a week away! I can't make it in person but I will be there in spirit. If you're like me and stuck at home, I recommend you attend a few live streams. Linux mobile content can be found in the "FOSS on Mobile Devices devroom" https://fosdem.org/2023/schedule/track/foss_on_mobile_devices/ and the "Embedded, Mobile and Automotive devroom" https://fosdem.org/2023/schedule/track/embedded_mobile_and_automotive/ . Presentations will also be viewable after the fact. #pinetime #fosdem

Just published two short articles about using Flatpaks on Linux phones. It took a while to get all the testing done in a way that was fair to Flatpak, but I think I succeeded. If you use a Linux phone, check it out! #postmarketOS #Librem5The Flatpak Controversy: Part 1 (Storage) https://linuxphoneguides.ovh/index.php/2023/02/18/the-flatpak-controversy-part-1-storage/The Flatpak Controversy: Part 2 (Speed) https://linuxphoneguides.ovh/index.php/2023/02/18/the-flatpak-controversy-part-2-speed/
