I wish people would put as much energy into making their alternatives accessible to Disabled users as they do letting the whole world know why big tech is evil every minute. Big tech can at least label their buttons. Why isn't accessibility a priority for you, but privacy is? #a11y #accessibility

@feld I would love to test! I can't do a lot on it because I've got paid work to do, but I'd still love to test. :)

I keep getting glowing comments about my site's readability. Folks, if you make your website easy to read, people will actually stay on your website. What a concept. http://www.blindjournalist.wordpress.com/ #a11y #Accessibility #UX #WebDev

Bookwyrm is so much faster and better designed than Goodreads. Developers test for #Accessibility all the time. https://www.bookwyrm.social/user/WeirdWriter #a11y #GoodreadsAlt

Bookwyrm is an alternative to Goodreads. #Accessibility is very good and it is also easier to use. Try an Instance https://github.com/mouse-reeve/bookwyrm/blob/main/instances.md

Put in my application to @joinClubhouse@twitter.com because I want to see how accessible the app is as well as possibly network with a lot of other inclusive folks. I heard the #accessibility was not great. #ClubHouseA11y #a11y tip. Make your app inclusive, and it is better for everyone

@fsf why should I support them if they’re going to entertain this freedom of speech dog whistle. And y’all wonder why you can’t seem to get more black coders involved?

While the Mastodon and Fediverse at large still makes #AltText an after thought in UX design, Twitter is actively prompting people to add alt text to their images. I thought the Fediverse was supposed to be more inclusive.

@alrs which makes it even more sad that inclusive design is an after thought on the Fediverse.

@alrs also, you would think this would urge the Fediverse to care a bit more but people still want accessibility to be a feature, not baked into the culture. Twitter is taking good steps here whereas the Fediverse still wants accessibility something people can ignore at will
