@TonyStark @DanaBlankenhorn Agreed. They absolutely do believe that malarkey. They believe we want to kill babies, take their hunting rifles, take their gas stoves, that egg prices are Biden’s fault, that the only acceptable way to vote is in person with photo ID, that dead people are voting, etc … And yes, gerrymandering & voter suppression also play a huge role, particularly here in the south. 🙄

@Jdreben I read it. Sadly, the US has a habit of allowing levels of toxic substances above those of other nations. Any amount of lead exposure is too much for a child. And cadmium exposure causes cancer (among many other health issues).

@ChrisMarshall @TonyStark It’s because (as the Deep South’s GQP governors keep saying) “nobody wants to work.” 🙄They are failing to see the connection between the vast numbers of their citizens who died or were disabled by Covid & the fact that they can’t hire enough people to work for minimum wage. The people hit hardest were the poor who were willing to work 2-3 minimum wage jobs just to feed themselves. They think hiring children will fill the void left by the (formerly) working poor.
