       @lanodan @mgorny There is the neuter gender, but using it for people is deeply insulting and disturbing in the “it puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again” way. Traditionally, you would use the masculine gender in neutral situations, but then the neutral use is indistinguishable from the male-masculine use.

       @eliasr @AstaMcCarthy @governa @privacyint @linmob You make it sound easy. 😃 I'm currently using #SailfishOS, AFAIK the most fleshed-out of the “alternative” OSes, and I can tell you it's definitely not ready for serious use. I hit multiple serious bugs that would be sufficient for a warranty claim in the first day of use alone. All of them have been reported for months, but remain unfixed.Despite the inherent issues, the best way to go is IMO #LineageOS or a similar Google-blob-free Android.
