@netdoll @asdf yes kusoge. i really need to get my ass on a x68k dive-- i have issues with attention span and action games interface in a love-hate way with it (sometimes i can lose myself in the groove for hours and sometimes a single death ejects me back to reality). been gnawing at akumajou dracula over the last 2 years and from that game and like, aquales, i could tell the system was an action game realhead paradise- if only i invested

@netdoll @asdf falcom is a lot better for this but ive had to be careful with them because their 80s and 90s output is like carefully constructed digital ultra-crack. theyre sort of like a japanese Blizzard where the games are actually kind of shallow and stupid but the aesthetics and short reward loops they get you on are like shoving super sour candy in your mouth full of lit joints while watching pornography

@netdoll @asdf i dont know a lot about them-- besides POM ive played the psx mad stalker and a few of the older cotton games (apparently panorama cotton was from success and im not familiar with the new ones). im interested in trying a few games youve mentioned now. i dont play often anymore but i like retro games bc i feel like theyre less manipulative and have shorter lengths

@netdoll @pernia i see a utility in this software for self organization of nonlinear thoughts or journaling and i often use colors in that context. normally im using graph software or doodling in html and being able to toss together a hypertext document without writing a bunch of code is something ive wanted for a while. so for some projects made for this thing i can see the color obstacle not being that big of a deal but its sort of stretching it for my usage
