@matthew I think that's a Gnome configuration tool file and servers don't have those desktop packages by default.I haven't looked at the vulnerability so don't know what that means for your server.

@glennf @timbray @waldoj @nlpbot Private cars are the least efficient, most expensive (for the owners and the public) way to move people or goods in almost any city of appreciable size and EVs do not change that. Accepting EVs as a replacement for ICE cars seems... counterproductive.

@dabertime My family has reduced our water consumption a solid 50% (citywide we need a solid 25% reduction to maintain reservoir levels) and we are grateful for this help.A special note that many "Indian reserves" (the Indian Act is still an official law of the land) have had *far* worse water problems for years and even decades than this city of 1.3 million for the past two weeks and future 5 weeks.#yyc #water

I'm pretty sure they have a back-end people database that is independent of accounts, fed w/ all sorts of information from 3rd parties that Cory talks about w/ the commercial surveillance industrial complex, that they link to the actual accounts ASAP after creation.Of course, for the vast majority of people it seems like just one database of accounts, but when you realize they've been tracking you without an account...

@jerry @Crell Meh. It only slows the introduction of new instances, which is hardly a bad thing.You could have multiple levels/rings of acceptance with outer rings accepting everything the inner ring does please more. A process for allowing promotion to inner rings.

Just because laws have been used as a cudgel against the vulnerable does not mean it is inevitable.I hear this same argument from libertarians who argue for little or no governance. That just lets the most powerful win.

Yet the commit shows a very believable explanation that shows this is likely not the case.While it is not good for the stats and you should absolutely prevent instances using the settings from skewing the stats, I'm not sure why you seem to be still interpreting the situation uncharitably.

My Mom, who has lived in rural Alberta for over a decade (Delia, halfway between Drumheller and Hanna off the 9 highway), decided to get up off her butt and go sign the Forever Canadian petition and posted on Facebook about it.One guy with emotional maturity problems who said, paraphrasing, "how dare you attack my beliefs?" but more people making supportive comments and likes.
