Yyyyeah Windows' attempt at self repair failed, I'd either have to spend the whole afternoon troubleshooting, or, most likely just because it requires less brainpower, just reinstall Windows.Guess what? Not doing this today. Can't be fucked. Back to the comfy waters of Linux with me, where the penguins swim and the transgender foxes call me a dork.

I had a #dream I was watching a #movie called "Full Hog" that kept switching between being two entirely different stories.One a monster movie about a giant feral hog that killed peopleThe other a story about a depressed biker bro that everyone loved him but he isolated himself. The two stories ended up becoming one story when the biker bro became friends with the feral hog and that stopped its rampage. They both rode off into the sunset.

@m0xee @Radical_EgoCom 1337x serves my purposes well.Failing that, taking some 15 minutes to set up qbittorrent's built in search engine (I got a tutorial for that somewhere in my bookmarks but ain't on my pc right now. DM me if you want so I have a reminder) will usually bypass the tracker sites entirely, thus saving you from being exposed. And also gives a feeling of late 90s emule that makes me happy.

@m0xee @Radical_EgoCom ah, if you've got a media server, then peeps in piracy circles absolutely swear by sonarr (music) and radarr (movies) and there's one other just for TV shows. They do what the qbit search engine does and far more, and you can remote control them from your pc.Just don't ask me how. I never bothered lol.

@dosnostalgic let's be fair: Windows wasn't letting you "boot into the legacy OS", it was just letting you quit out of the shell, because at the time, it was literally just a fancy GUI shell for DOS, and remained so (for home users, enterprise users got NT in the early 90s) until Windows XP

@dosnostalgic @kly Well paint me purple and call me "Twilight", it actually works. The process goes: Load Windows -> Exit to DOS mode -> Load windows again -> Shut down -> When in the screen just do "cls"-enter and this happens

@dosnostalgic @kly PS this was a clean install. Or, cleanish. I did install the drivers needed to get sound/graphics properly out of 86box, cuz if I was setting this up, I might as well have it ready to screw around with some gaems.
