💧 really wish ppl had more imagination for timelines than "fully chronological timeline without significant user customization" and "fully algorithmic timeline without user customization"like why can't i cap the amount of posts i see per user per day, including customizing them for each of my follows?where's my RSS-style daily/weekly feeds for each user i follow, with posts sortable by various factors incl engagement numbers?from my understanding, the server softwares cache info of various posts that it receives from activitypub. why aren't we using this smh

🌺️ Small PSA to those who've fatalistically given up masking, if your reasoning for having stopped wearing a mask is that the protection doesn't matter if no one else is masking, please consider buying an elastomeric half-mask respirator as well as some P100 filters. This class of respirator will actually prevent you from inhaling most particles in the air, which confers effective one-way protection for you. It's also much easier to fit test elastomerics than respirators like N95s, in my experience. If you're worried about the "selfish" aspect of engaging in one-way protection, consider this: You can't transmit a virus you never catch. There are still ways to protect you and yours in this never-ending killer pandemic. Please for your sake make use of them. It's well worth the price of admission.#CovidIsNotOver

@BlackAzizAnansi 🌺️ Unfortunately, it's not very weird that they pretend it's over. The flu got memory holed after 1918 as well. Post-acute sequelae related to it were attributed to "mystery illness" because of the denial.It is, of course, a much different matter now, as the virus isn't gone.

"well, I used to take all the safety precautions that were recommended……things like seatbelts, staying under the speed limit, using my signals, being mindful of other drivers, you know?but I got rear ended last week and so i've decided to drop all of that stuff. i can't live in fear, man! i've gotta start living my life again."💧️ this is what dropping COVID precautions post-infection sounds like to me
