       @gretathunberg The green movement is now unfortunately split, with the Greens being part of the government in Germany and therefore responsible for your arrest. We now risk facing a distinction between "good" greens and "bad" greens. I consider this a big problem.

       @EU_Commission A rather banal survey. Great banknotes also have great designs and inspire through that. Think of the Swiss ones. Or the old Dutch Guilder ones. The current EU banknotes are bland and boring. Design by committee. And this somehow affects people’s perception of the institutions too.

       Trying to set up #itsme, the Belgian digital ID “equivalent” of #SPID (and not succeeding), makes me realize how advanced and well thought out the Italian SPID actually is. Thank you @quinta.

       @quinta It works, but it is hard to find, and not available on all government websites.  For instance, logging in as an EU citizen is not listed as an option on my.belgium.be (national) or on vlaanderen.be (regional - select “Mijn burgerprofiel” on the top right). In both cases, they want you to use either the card reader with chip enabled ID card (only works with Belgian ID cards) or itsme (which is an initiative that started from the private sector, particularly banks and telcos.

       @quinta Itsme therefore also works with bank cards and bank card readers. It uses an outdated browser plugin - plugin.connective.eu - to set you up and that is blocking me for now. I have to use itsme because I need to sign some financial documents at a Belgian bank for a family member. Itsme doesn’t allow SPID login.
