If we're honest with ourselves, Earth's worldbuilding is pretty mid. There's not even an ancient precursor race whose technology we're still deciphering, no floating continents, and there are capitalists everywhere.It's OK, but I suggest waiting until it's on-sale.5-out-of-10

@mcc I was force-fed Oracle early in my career via a founder who thought they knew best, even if it meant overpaying for a self-hosted pain-in-the-arse DBMS.I have spent the 15 years since avoiding anything they touch like it's radioactive. 'Cause it kinda is.

Not a single model I have tested has been able to complete an entire coherent and legal chess match with me without hallucinating an impossible board position and insisting it's ground truth. Around 10-15 moves in, and it just can't keep up with objective reality anymore.If your ocean-boiling "intelligence" can't swing this modest feat of... *checks notes* 1980s software engineering, then what is all the hubbub about?

And to be clear, I'm even being kind and giving the models the entire game state at every turn. It quickly became clear that context was an issue when I would just exchange standard notation moves with a model, so I started inputting the entire game in PGN after every move.This helped, but not *nearly* as much as you'd think "all the state you could possibly need to establish truth" *would* help.

With a chain letter, the original sender isnt trying to tell you something. Not really. They're trying to elicit a behavior on your part: "share this with your group."There is no ultimate recipient. There is no destination, no resolution. Just aimless movement. Sure, the letter itself may have all the hallmarks of a meaningful message: a call to action, the vague outline of an argument… but all of that is secondary to convincing you to that it's worth sharing.
