       Can anyone in IT explain to me why scheduled maintenance can’t be done at 3am when the chances of someone needing the system are at their lowest? (Instead of evenings / weekend days when people often need to work)

       @geordie if your phone supports a second line via an eSIM, we’ve used Airalo a bit - keep your primary number in case you need it, use the eSIM as a second line for calls / data.

       @aral @daedalus only to a point. When the cost of doing business means you can’t do business, you have a choice: change your business, or fail. There are a whole lot of problems with incarceration so there must be alternatives.

       For a very long time, I didn’t understand why people felt the need to drop heavy weights in the gym. Today, I did heavy deadlift work, and once you’ve done the lift, there is something… cathartic … (and energy saving!) … about just dropping the bar rather than trying to gently place it on the floor.
