@Jaime Dear Jaime,I am so sorry about your sister’s passing. I saw the beautiful video you posted of the hospice, but then did not see your post about your sister’s passing on Good Friday. (On Quod Verum, I only see for now what shows up in the second column of my home screen.) I prayed the rosary (sorrowful mysteries) on Good Friday from noon to 3pm with your sister in my heart.

@Jaime When I saw your request yesterday for prayers at noon today, I realized your sister had passed. I also realized I could click on your name and read all your posts. The picture of her and what you wrote is also beautiful. Thank you for your note thanking people on Quod Verum for prayers even though you have not met them. I am by nature reticent, especially about my religious feelings, and felt hesitant to open up.

@Jaime This morning I prayed the rosary (joyful mysteries for Monday) and at noon I prayed the glorious mysteries for your sister. For this, I used new rosary beads that have a story. I hope it is okay that I share. It will take up a few posts.

@Jaime A young adult family member who had skipped confirmation in high school recently decided completely on his own that he wanted to be confirmed. In early March, although he was still attending adult classes for the ceremony that was supposed to take place Holy Saturday at Easter Vigil (now postponed), my mom and I were already self-isolating together and I took her online shopping for a set of rosary beads to give him for his confirmation.

@Jaime While on EBay, I saw this beautiful set of light blue pearl Miraculous Medallion rosary beads that I did not need and could not afford. I clicked past them at that point, but then they kept popping up all the time in EBay ads, and I finally gave in.

@Jaime I instantly had buyer’s remorse and then even more so when the package arrived a few days later—another possible source of corona virus contamination—and tossed it in the garage with other piles of unopened mail, where it sat for another week or so. Finally, when sorting through the mail, I approached the rosary bead package with much trepidation. I had not previously looked at the mailing label. On EBay, the seller name seemed unusual, maybe even from China.

@Jaime To my amazement, the return address turned out to be “Covington, Kentucky”—I had to check and yes, the rosary beads are from a religious store in the same Covington as the Covington Catholic High School.

@Debradelai @GenFlynn To General Flynn: Would love to hear you talk about the ocean in Rhode Island. Every time I see pictures of you and your family surfing, it transports me back to a family trip to Misquamicut at a time when my dad, a WWII/Korea DAV, was okay. Those waves! I remember him holding me up, at 6 years old, first time I was in water over my head. So happy you had the ocean as you went through this. Thank you for everything. @Jaime Dear Jaime,Thank you again for accepting my prayers for your sister Jacqueline. My Lenten resolution was to say the rosary every day, but I only held to it on the days I prayed for your sister. I let it go again after Easter, then felt some despair about 2–3 weeks ago and have been praying the rosary daily since then. It really helps me. I include your sister every day in my prayers.
