got a decent workaround by installing arch wsl and wsltty because default windows wsl terminal isn't handling copy without adding silly trailing whitespaces

@newt not really, just buy a waterblock I run my 970 strix on an universal waterblock, optionally I added passive heatsinks on the VRM and VRAM but they weren't even necessary

@newt the die is exposed ? yes, absolutelybut honestly, there's so little chance of breaking something if you have a minimal care in the process, and even in the rare case you break a SMD near the die, it won't probably break your card, maybe you'll loose some stability with OC at worstbut in terms of gains, watercooling a GPU is way more worth it than a CPU when gaming because your CPU is rarely the bottleneck and GPU emit way more heatalso keep in mind that you could also delid the CPU like a few people do when watercooling, which is way more risky and harder to do than removing the GPU fan and applying thermal paste and pads
