       @stux @vanlueckn @Gargron curious when yall blocked this instance? I think data is purged 30d after the suspension is put in place. so this might be just mastodon (inelegantly) cleaning up the garbage from the attack last year...

       @stux @vanlueckn @Gargron from how I read the code I guess if you were hit at all by the initial attack 1 month ago, and you still see a ton of user accounts on /admin/instances when searching for any of those troll domains, they're getting cleaned up now all at once

       You know, open access, "information wants to be free" and open source is at its best when it helps people do something that goes against economic incentives. When it empowers individuals.But the co-opting by corporations really shows that scraping, archival, piracy and liberal licensing aren't inherently good or bad, it always depends on who gets to benefit from it.As a corollary, AI isn't inherently bad, instead everything in this hype wave that comes with it is.
