I cant begin to describe the satisfaction you get by hosting your own social media. Kinda like not wearing underwear public. It's liberating. 😂

@ph4geJust gonna keep it for myself. I used to use Hubzilla on my own instance along with Mastodon.social back in the day. Then went and explored other options outside the Fediverse. Came back to Friendica and just decided to keep everything in house with Mastodon. This much nicer. Lol.

@ph4ge Im using Yunohoat on an old HP laptop with no lid or screen. i5 16gb ram. Its hosting Nextcloud, Peertube Prosody and now Mastodon. Yunohost is still the bomb for me. Love them!

@dick_turpin Same here. Now he wants me talk to our IT company. Sounds like he wants me to get one from them. They got some nic NUC's but I dont want Windows!!! Maybe I can sweet talk them into letting me do Ubuntu at least.

@rogueren Really? I was using it on my AMD RX 560 with Ubuntu 22.10 and wayland with no hiccups. Are you using the flatpak?

@swindlesmccoop I only use wayland if the distr I an on at the time is using it. I'm not against it. I just need things like recording more than one window or camera in OBS Studio at a time.
