@ulrichkelber Naja, seit 2018 #eCall verpflichtend vorgeschrieben wurde, muss in Neuwägen ja grundsätzlich Mobilfunktechnologie fix verbaut sein. Somit werden alle Autofahrten zumindest von Mobikfunkbetreiebern mit protokolliert. @ashwinvis just read their specs and you'll find that semver makes most sense; some projects with a very stable api and constantly breaking dependencies are better of with calver (think youtube-dl); zerover is just a special case of semver where your project is either unstable or you don't care about expressive version numbers

@PublicNuisance I get your point, because I'm an avid #FDroid user too. The thing is. Getting a phone that runs FDroid is not easy. It might seem trivial for people with technical background, but there are billions of people without. So they have to use whatever comes pre-installed with their phone.

My point is, that if IP rights were not broken, there would not be a need for such legal shenanigans.Hardware can be complex and cost intensive you'll get no argument from the there. However, IP rights are also a massive cost driver ...Also for bionic implants I would have assumed that maintenance is mostly software related, because hardware would have to full-fill very high reliability specifications, for avoiding health risks.

@EU_Commission Outlawing end to end encryption would be a hugely disproportionate cut-back on civil liberties. Doing this on purpose looks anti-democratic, doing it by accident looks incompetent.From my humble perspective as IT professional: claims about AI based prevention of child abuse sound rather implausible. It might work under carefully constructed laboratory conditions, but I'd say it's doubtful that there's any chance this would perform at scale.#ChatControl 👎
