@grammargirl That and because selective quoting sometimes means the result gives the opposite answer if you read further.I also switched to Duck Duck Go last month because Google's results were so consistently poor.

@spandauAnders @shanselman The account predates his death. Because Musk couldn't sell enough blue checks, he gave all non-paid accounts with more than 1 mil followers a free check, but the text still says it was paid for, even on the abandoned account of a man who died in 2018.

@benjaminhollon The number of people on Reddit on their 3rd Fitbit in 2 years is absolutely shocking. And in the US, the warranty is a meager 12 months. If the "free" replacement dies outside of the original 12 month window (e.g., unit 1 dies after 7 months, and unit 2 dies after a further 6 months), they won't replace it! You just get a 35% off code for the Fitbit website.
