@aral It’s not a privacy violation AFAICT. It happens on your phone and on your phone only. And it uses the same safe contact discovery algorithm that’s integral to Signal’s function. And you can switch it off in the settings, if you find it creepy. (Quite sure however there’s no setting to switch it off for creepy contacts only. 🤭)
