i probably dedicate too much space in my head to career-thinking. i started working as 17yo, and at this point i can just farm exp and it'll be always good. especially that money is not a problem (even when i was not having paid job for 1.5 year)burnout/neglecting other stuff is probably more realistic to be dangerous for me than not having a blog, not networking, not developing github/portoflio or not understanding how all aws services work

on the other hand, even when my brain starts 'worrying' about stuff, it gets really good at finding solutions,,, better than i can in a usual setting. but that's why i put my brain junk output on mastodon !! or my journal or notes

i think the greatest human invention will be something that allows us to rapidly exchange thoughts and experiences between each other and synthesize themi feel cultural changes are too slow and they don't base on most people generally becoming better humans. e.g. xenophobia (incl. racism) wasn't solved; laws changed, there's more available knowledge, but we're still not being born with the active conviction and consensus that xenophobia is wrong (and knowledge why it is)

public education is currently way to pass knowledge that should be common, and i think it's technically possible to accomplish part of what i'm talking about with itbut i also feel that strict theory can never accomplish what experience does. i.e. i truly feel absurd of xenophobia and it's negative outcomes a lot more by seeing how in poland ukrainians are treated, than i would watching by a documentary about U.S. situation in XX century

and also it's hard to push everything into public education programme. like in poland we still cannot have lessons about sexual education or saying you can be gay. there's no common consensus that these things are right.

@evrys bot applicants are big problem. the company i work for is small (17 people total), so the ceo is taking care of recruiting people + already very busy tech lead hops on call to ask technical questions, check assignments, etc.i've been told that for the position i applied, there was 700 applicants. i got hired very fast so i assume majority of them weren't a fit at all.

@evrys though obviously going through these resumes must take a long time, which is painful for small companies without a recruiter assigned to that.also there were cases of people with fully polish name + location (incl. LinkedIn) applying with suspiciously perfectly fitting resume. on google meet, it turned out they were not polish (or even European), they weren’t in the location they provided, and obviously their name was made up.

@yura there's 100% anti-ukrainian bots on polish youtube and instagram almost everywhere, i wonder how i didn't see a paper about that yet.for example, i like to watch border control shows. obviously in this show there's a lot of ukrainians because that's the usual border that things get smuggled in poland.but ONLY in videos where "ukrainian" is mentioned in the video title, there's spam of anti-ua bots, despite a lot of clips showing ukrainian people. how curious!
