@nixfreak @jessebot GNU Guix doesn't contain any nonfree software, it also contains free software other than GNU. It gives you the freedom to add any channel you want, and get whatever software you want.

@doomchild you are not forced to use the advanced features of org too. You can just use it as markdown if you want.

@evgandr @freezr @GIMP @David same! I never understand these complaints, maybe it is because GIMP is not like the programs they are familiar with. I couldn't know, it has been a long time since I touched proprietary image editing programs.

@Alexa @9to5linux it really active try to stop you. It just doesn't recommend nonfree software. Otherwise you can get software from any where you want (the package definitions are distributed via guix channels, which are git repositories which contain the package definition (and more), the guix repository is itself a guix channel and is the default. There are many such channels( a search is available here: https://toys.whereis.social/ (BEWARE that it also displays nonfree software))), including channels that might contain nonfree software.

@teamtype @beaufils @olberger @nextcloud AMAZING! An ethersync extension for Emacs (as we call them), was on my todo list for a long time. I guess now i get to strike it off for no work!
