@misty Does binwalk give any hints, on either the compressed file or dict?

@lauren The time for complacency is over, but the broader internet hasn't started reacting yet.The commoditisation of UGC and locking up of content that was historically openly indexable is with us, and the internet's immune system has a lot of work ahead to build infrastructure to support the recovery before the recovery itself.IMO it's no longer enough for geeks to self-host, self-publish; the ability for the average internaut to do so will be critical to the future of the open internet.

@khoji The Connections Museum in Seattle has a bunch of great videos on (US-centric, for obvious reasons) telephone exchange hardware over the decades. Not sure they've done anything dedicated to listening in on calls, but they certainly go through it.. step-by-step πŸ˜Έβ€‹.https://www.youtube.com/user/museumofcomm

@khoji On a quick flick through their videos.. this might be one that's relevant, referencing a test panel + switch from the mid-1920s.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLGqdd-O0Ts

@mjg59 Would setting up an alias in your ~/.ssh/config be something you'd be comfortable doing?Host server_with_hwtok IdentityAgent ~/.ssh_auth_sock_hwtok HostName foobar.example.comYou should be able to use server_with_hwtok as the remote hostname for the SSH transport, then..

@joeycastillo I run into the same problem with my personal projects.. do I go cycling, or do I spend the next hour or two adding a feature to my cycling-centric map device?(he says, refactoring the UI code instead of adding features)

@mjg59 "more than $50 of my time figuring out how to circumvent this", very much this mood with some of the hardware devices around here. You mean I pay $50 for something that'll keep me entertained for weeks, nay, months trying to reverse engineer a new thing? Absolutely!
