I think the general conclusion is that, subjectively, anything is art that one points at and calls "art". Objectively, that is, in concensus reality there are two roads to "great art". One is wide-spread approval of the masses --pop art. The other is via approval of the "art world" or "art establishment" (critics, scholars, curators, gallery owners, serious collectors, other artists); people that have an *informed* opinion due to experience, practice, and / or study --serious art.
