cool cool cool. #FarCry5 won't let me unlock any quest-based perks, despite beating them alongside my husband in co-op, so I switched to my game to kill a lieutenant so I can get my last gun slot unlocked...only to accidentally wipe out my character I've been playing with him, losing all my quest-unrelated perks, weapons, vehicles, etc (: And of course there's no option to go back to my other character, because god forbid a PC game give you multiple save options.whelp. Looks like we're switching games again, at least for a few weeks. cuz f this

aaaand now my bag decided to clip inside the world from a perfectly normal death-by-plasma-vomit in #satisfactory but the genius developers don't have any kind of no-clip console command so all I can do is try to install a mod just to noclip (and the few times I tried to install mods before it just broke everything) or kick my husband off the server so i can save, upload the save file to a separate site, get the coordinates from there, then load the game again and try to manually move the box that way...of course it's never the near-empty bodies with barely anything on it that get clipped inside the mesh where I can't get them. No, of course not. it's always the bodies full of high-end parts it takes me two hours to make in the first place.

This is a bit weird maybe, but I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in having a video chat with my dad, just so he has a chance to talk to someone besides just me and the rest of the family. He's disabled and agoraphobic so he rarely leaves the house, but his eyesight is bad and technology easily confuses him so texting and social media aren't really an option either. He's really into history (he's a Jeopardy whiz) but is happy talking about mostly anything (just not math, lol). Basically whoever is interested, we can find a day and time that works for you and I can stick my dad in front of a webcam on that day. Anyone interested in possibly being my disabled, elderly dad's online friend? (I mean that in literally the most innocuous way possible)

@futurebirdI add hashtags all the time but it's very depressing when I search for one and the only one using any of them is me, no matter how generic I try to make them 😭 mastodon has its benefits over mainstream social media, but searchability/finding other people with similar interests to interact with is a massive flaw. I get the original intent of "protection of small, marginalized communities from having to deal with exposure to people who might wish them ill intent," but I'd love it if mastodon had opt-in capabilities for those of us who DO want to connect with new people. @Moss
