@Hyolobrika @bonifartius yes , well there are probably levels to it though : for example not a lot of nurses being thrown out of the windows here in oppressive France compared to super lovely Russia , and no one here is protesting the state emptied their savings accounts like in China … 😆😆 putting an equal sign between where we/I live and those actual hellholes is just the false equivalence of the naive 😅

@adiz well they had to redesign their military posters because malnutrition changed the body type of people , and everyone has to have a radio turned on to state channels , and there’s the whole thing where it’s a closed country full of violence … just off the top of my head , but also if you like at how their government behaves … I mean nothing seems « normal » to me , but then again I’m on mastodon and they’re not allowed access to internet … etc etc

@adiz I’ve been there + invited by the government - just to steal my work , but I was laughing and gave it to them easily 😅🤷🏻♂️ my colleagues are not so happy about the state-sponsored IP theft though , like you said : to each their own… and I was not impressed by the empty and half constructed buildings … but I was very impressed by the earthquake agency … now , anything that touches China is radioactive and all NGOs are banned … so … free Hong Kong 🇭🇰❤️
