@kev discovered simplecss just recently; As my site was very minimal already, switching to it was almost no work at all - really nice - thanks!

@kev I can totally relate to this; Everytime I 'finally have some alone time', I end up missing them, not sleeping well, and do not really know what to do with the time...

@mike Felt/feel the same way, funny things is, that unlike blood- letting, the vaccine shot is not only painless, but hardly felt at all - so the whole puncture/band-aid shtick is nkt only counterproductive, but also false and unnecessary

@kzimmermann I have 8 configured (herbstluftwm): Code, Web, Term, Remote, Files, Orga, Misc, Music - I landed there slowly during my progression through different tiling wms - herbstluftwm feels like home, I guess I'll retire with it

@mike @RyuKurisu Alas, it seldom is with a restart, in my experience -- (with the exception of memory leaks and preventive cron scheduled restarts :-P (it is so good to not have to deal with this kind of error handling anymore))

@kev sometimes the similarity observed comes from manerisms(?), mimic and speech patterns -- though I guess you're right and politeness plays a major role :-)

@mike almost everything you post about your work suggests you need to leave ASAP - email itself is not the problem - the work culture/usage of it is very much - I have a feeling every communication channel would be abused. But so much noise would make me miss any signal buried there - even without vacation pauses. For comparison, I had under 300 mails after 4 Weeks of vacation, almost all of were filterable.

@joel @Aman9das Here in germany it's FreeDOS; but I cannot get it from lenovo directly without windows; it's a specialised notebook online shop.

@mike As you don't mention it in your post/blog: I want to suggest to use @keyoxide to you, to make it easy for others to encrypt messages to you and verify your signatures

@CyborgZeta @hund It might break, or need a bit more TLC than usual, but my family is not that stringently following my 'please heed the update notice' policy, so I usually end up with a full sync and update 6 to 18 month late - there's a real problem only in roughly 20% of these extreme cases.

Had a full day yesterday. Finished day5 and day6 today. As always, these aren't clever solutions, but quick ones. Day 5 was interesting - slicing and dicing static buffers to move the "boxes" is nice, IMO.My Day6 solution is stupid but straightforward and done in a couple of minutes.https://git.sr.ht/~tomterl/aoc22/tree/main/item/day5https://git.sr.ht/~tomterl/aoc22/tree/main/item/day6#adventofcode #harelang
