@cdarwin I bet that journalist was surprised. They gave Republicans favorable coverage for decades. They enabled all the things that are happening now.They probably thought they would get favorable treatment from the authoritarians once they were in power. They seem to have forgotten what authoritarians typically do to journalists.While I weep for the loss of our rights, I feel zero sympathy for the people who enabled this problem.

@tomjennings @cdarwin I no longer keep track of which US media property does what, but all of them have been very pro-Republican in their spin.I'm willing to bet that WGN gave significant air time to taking about Joe Biden's mental decline, and none or very little talking about Trump's mental decline or warming voters about Project 2025.

When Republicans cut off food stamps, this will affect everyone, even if you are not on food stamps.What do you think happens when $9 billion stops being spent at grocery stores? The grocers get less money, and so do the distributors who deliver food to them.This is going to fuck up our whole food system, and for what? So a few wealthy people can get bigger tax cuts that your great-great-great-grandchildren will still be paying for?

Affinity Photo (raster image editor e.g. Adobe Photoshop), Affinity Designer (vector image editor e.g. Adobe Illustrator), and Affinity Publisher (desktop publishing software e.g. Adobe InDesign) have been rolled into one app, which is now free.I had previously paid for v2 of all the above apps, but then Affinity was bought by Canva. Not mad about this change at all. These are my favorite Adobe alternatives (for the above 3 types of software).https://www.affinity.studio/download
