@futurebird And then think of war with drones. Where one side can wage war, killing and bombing and sometimes hitting wedding parties or innocent families trying to get groceries, without ever risking any of their own lives.We did that for many years until Biden stopped it.

@futurebird I understand. My lovely cat has this thing where she loves to sleep at my feet. But the very moment before drifting off, she sometimes loses impulse control, grabs my foot or leg with claws out, pulls my flesh towards her open mouth, chomps down, and then falls asleep. Otherwise she's very gentle and sweet. 🤗 Totally worth it.

@janikvonrotz Unfortunately, Europe will be vulnerable to US interference in everything. Our economy, military, and intelligence agencies are unmatched. I think things will be better in Europe for a while, but there is no longer a backstop for despot and billionaire power.

@futurebird My takeaway is that over 70 million of us were not "plugged in" or were misinformed about another 20 million who didn't show up and their conception of morality. I thought forcing 11-year-old girls to carry and give birth to their rapist's baby would be a bridge too far.

@futurebird So many layers of irony! Back in the 80s-90s, Republicans insisted that the sensible solution to homelessness and hunger was cutting taxes. Churches and wealthy people could help the poor more efficiently, since people would be richer, and recognize true need at the local level. That was capitalism. Now somehow, that's not capitalism, its stupid and we're supposed to think it represents socialism. But they can't explain why.MAGA is trying to have their cake and eat it too. 😂

@nixCraft Can we just create an alternate AI world for billionaires where they can think they're replacing us with AI, flying to Mars, exploiting workers, making a gazillion dollars, etc.? Meanwhile we normal, mentally-less-damaged people can get back to real world problems and deal with climate change, poverty, wars, etc 👍
