@Unabart @historyofpunkrock how far upstate? I lived in potsdam in 85-86 and the college radio there was AMAZING. I made a tape of one radio show and it remained one of my favorite tapes for years.

@Unabart @historyofpunkrock I mean, I came from California and returned to California, where all the great bands came through my little town, but Potsdam had MUCH better radio than the station at my town's dumb-ass party school.

@Unabart @historyofpunkrock it really is. My father's from upstate (geneva), my wife went to Cornell, we have a hut in the Adirondacks and my parents retired to Kingston. Get ten miles away from any of the fancy-pants colleges and it's shacks with wax paper windows and subsistence poaching.

As a big fan of class anxiety, I love flying. The people in the back are the poors. A few rows ahead is economy plus, for their betters. However, a few rows more and you're in economy select, which is for those better off than economy plus. But wait! A few more rows forward is premier economy, where there is a better class of people. But what, you don't want to have "economy" in your seat title like a farmer? Come to first class, where they're white-knuckling their chair arms, hoping no-one realizes they're completely outnumbered. Snowpiercer in the air.

@tomjennings I just saw them opening for the Go Gos, they were great. Two nights before, they were playing the knockout with my friend's band. From a 30 person venue to a 2,000 person venue in two days.

@Unabart This works for me on both Ryanair and Wizzair. I just hiss at them until they recognize me as the pilot of the plane. Free trip every time. I'm getting better at landing, too!
