@kroyxt Mi povas kompreni, se la h-sistemo kaj x-sistemo ne plaĉas al vi, sed… verdire SEFOSAS tute ne plaĉas al mi. >_< Ĝenerale ne plaĉas al mi la emo skribi per la »pura kaj plena« latina alfabeto (kvankam pro influo de la angla sur komputadon tio fojfoje ne eviteblas). Sed en ĉi tiu estas du pliaj aferoj, kiuj iom ĉagrenas min:Ĝi tute ŝanĝas la sonon de iuj literoj en la normala alfabeto de Esperanto. (Por mi, jo devas soni kiel jo, kaj ne kiel ĵo. Tiu ĉi sistemo ne plu estas pura anstataŭigo de iuj signoj, sed tute malsama alfabeto…)La transskribo de co al to-so tre malplaĉas al mi. Ili estas similaj sonoj, jes, sed tamen malsamaj. (Je tio, la nomo »sen-escepte fonetika« al mi ŝajnas iom stranga.)

@kroyxt Hoo, ĉu ĝi estis kreita speciale por sciencfikciaj verkoj? Tio estas multoble pli taŭga motivo do. :-) Tamen mi pensas, ke devus ekzisti pli klara kaj regula sistemo por anstataŭigi la ĉapelojn… Ekzemple:ĉ → qĝ → gyĥ → xĵ → zyŝ → ssŭ → wExossangyo qiuzyawde. Awton paqjo ssargyis per pezaj qapeloj. Sstalaj qiuj ili estis, qiun el qambro du personoj je granda gyeno ssovi devis, apenaw tion kapablis.Nu… oni iam uzis apostrofojn aŭ aliajn signojn por anstataŭigi la ĉapelojn, sed mi antaŭsupozas, ke ankaŭ tiuj ne plaĉus al vi. :P

You can use Linux without GNU, and you can use GNU without Linux. There seems to be a lack of a friendly, robust and versatile GUI toolkit on Lignux. You know, something that looks pretty, is reasonably stable yet actively maintained, has a welcoming community, is well-documented and easy to get started with, and can adapt to your needs. Something I could feel proud, happy and comfortable using as my solution for making graphical apps!• Qt seems pretty nice, but also feels pretty confusing to me. I don’t exactly love the looks, and the good bindings seem limited to languages I really wouldn’t enjoy using.• GTK seems pretty nice and more approachable. I can find plenty of bindings and I really liked the look of GTK3. But it’s maintained by GNOME, which seems pretty toxic, and I don’t think I like the recent design direction either.• EFL seems pretty nice and looks spiffy, but the community feels very sporadic, the toolkit has never felt polished to me, and overall I find it hard to read the project or its documentation.• GNUstep is being actively maintained and developed, but you couldn’t tell because almost anything that uses it feels like it hasn’t been for a decade or two. Other software doesn’t seem to play very nice with it, and it’s for Objective-C (of which I like the objective part and fear the C).• Tk has plenty of bindings, but feels a tad alien, is supposedly basic, and working it with seems less than straightforward (though I haven’t tried in earnest).• Morphic and Swing seem cool if you’re deep into Smalltalk and Java, respectively, which I’m not.• There’s a froth of new toolkits written in Rust™, all seemingly dedicated to being entirely memory-safe and entirely exploitable under pushover licences.• Electron.So yeah, if I really really want to write a graphical app, I can, in a number of different ways. I used to think ‘Dress Treat!’ was a game where you could dress a character up to look so cute, you could call their dress a treat (think for the eyes).As it turns out, it is indeed a game, but ‘Treat’ is the name of the character you’re supposed to dress.
