I've heard this tree being referred to as the wishing tree, hence the title. My wish was granted with the most beautiful conditions at the perfect time - low clouds, swirling in and out of the woods to create incredible light - as colour of the foliage was approaching its peak, but before the leaves start to drop. Of course, I did not engrave my wish on the tree ❤️
