@pixelfed Is this an accurate description of what the conflict is? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34172649#34174658 « Ok, so this appears to be over the fact that Pixelfed copied the names of the Instagram filters 1:1. They are not generic names like "blur" or "enhance" -- they are very specific names that Instagram has associated with their filters for years, like "Clarendon" and "Ludwig". »If so, I think Instagram would be in the right...@jducoeur

People on Mastodon instances: Now is a *really good time* to get an export of your posts. There's a serious vulnerability in Mastodon and a patch was just released today. If your admin hasn't said anything about having patched, there's a decent chance your server is going to get hacked, and... basically, *anything* could happen to your account.Go to Preferences -> Import/Export and request your archive. Also download all of the offered CSV files, which include your follow lists.

@futurebird @peterbrown @glitzersachen I'm fairly sure the actual risk here is the scammer *pretending to hang up*, making it sound like you can now make a new outbound call.If you hang up, there's no such risk. (Unless someone else in the house was secretly listening on another handset, heh.)

@futurebird @mjr Just today I saw two bikes U-locked to the wires of chain-link fences.Thinking of carrying around some flyers to put on such bikes to let people know their bikes *will* be stolen by someone who just cuts through the fence.
