@mikemathia for anyone religious person who uses this as an argument: the giraffe has a vein or vessel (the laryngenial something) that travels all the way along the neck, around something then all the way back because that nerve/vein was arranged that way before natural selection preferred the long neck. Then when the neck got really long, that vein/vessel grew all the way with, instead of "reordering" to prevent traversing the unnecessary distance.

@aral @flying_witch this is probably the clearest reason why I couldn't get a grasp on this war. It all seemed nonsensicle and arbitrary. Whoever was involved seemed to work with some "prior" knowledge and too much contradiction in-all. This explains a lot!Are you following Abby Martin by any chance? .. she seems to have a good grasp on what's going on.

@aral do you state this under the assumption that FOSDEM decides on some sort of agenda? Even considering they select talks to some extent, the vast number of talks doesn't make very strict steering likely. So, in what respects is it an actual problem?
