@mike to be honest I think people just like to hate on mint. On the other hand, any time I use cinnamon on mint or another distro, icing task manager is the first change I make. So they're making good decisions in my mind.

@tbernardYou would still be using one of the above mentioned arch, debian, Ubuntu, or something as a base... If gnome created their own distro from scratch, I'm pretty sure it would be incomplete for most users...you need those bases to have what everyone needs.

@dave I'm building a desktop Linux podcast app that is 100% podcasting 2.0, I'm trying to wrap my head around pulling a top v4v podcast list? Is there a specific call for this or do I have to put something together? I'm code illiterate, so a call would be nice..lol
