       @kwf I want to hear your ideas of improving email, I strongly believe a large problem with the email is the email-client market is seemingly unloved, I think this is partially a side effect of expectation of full html capability, which, clearly is high cost to maintain and secure; I have lots of thoughts in the matter,I wish more message delivery online was email compatible

       @foone better yet, fork history: compile dos for similarly old risc chip (a lineage that will become arm64) and incrementally live a past life that could have been if Intel 8086 was irrelevant to begin with. bonus points for setting the mtime on the produced bins to be period accurate

       @foone I asked an LLM to create as assembler for format strings, yaknow, to make porting format strings easier, and honestly I haven't been able to get the results out of my mind. Maybe strings should be built with machine code.

       @foone don't go soft on Fahrenheit just because it's units are in non fractional normal decimals! It's helpful to consider the fundamental ideas in the origin of the scale, there we can discover the absurdity that gives rise to "wow we just need someone, anything else, maybe something that's easy to do in lab conditions maybe" as the basis of a system of measurement, some kind of "metric system" of you will.

       @foone oh God that padding isn't just general stack space being used (interleaved with argument) to like, express fat pointers or other stack variables,  is it? Or, maybe are all locals names being hashed and their position on the stack allocated in hash table order. So long as the call site knew what offset to overwrite, that would be just fine
