@lauren @topher @cy @dangoodin this sounds like a lot of phones. Just wondering if there are any numbers on how many people actually set a unlock code in their phone. I would expect that in there a lot of them out there who don't. In contrast this discussion is popular with people who know yubi keys and what biometrics mean.

@futurebird @thecrushedviolet that's an amusing thought to me. Like imagine some people around a fire going, put in more of theses "angels" they are the most fun. And people burst out laughing. @phocks that AI is some how intelligent.that autonomous cars will be here in five years.that rich people worked so hard for all their money and should keep it.that killing some thousand people per year is just the price to pay for being able to drive everywhere with a car.

@futurebird thanks for those wise words.I might use them in my next discussions with people who buy into this "we have to keep our passport guarded or anyone could get it"like. what if anyone could get it? would that really be that bad? I am all for some sort of rules, like living in a country for some time (probably years), working or studying or caring for someoneand maybe a certificate of language knowledge

@futurebird yes. Yes. Yes.I once managed the finances for a kindergarten support club where the parents would donate money for extras. It takes work to organise which things to buy that help the team and the kids.Spending wisely takes time and knowledge. Many people want to make good with their money but all they get is those bank types advising for gold or funds.

@futurebird also for people who have any amount of spare money. Like when your salary is 100.000€ per year in the EU. You are fine buying your house, travel, shopping. You have money to give for donations. But also you can invest into sea rescue or weapons industry. Into solar or into oil. Into the housing market or in education. You probably don't want to give it all away. You could also get financial returns on community friendly projects.

@futurebird at my current mood, I'd feel that I had lost all. Because without knowing which one is the original, I'd be without the real object.Might end up giving both away, cos looking at a potential un-real one would just remind me of the loss. Or stash both away to deal with at another time.
