They led to a surge of racism, hatred and harmful conspiracy theory, a huge lurch to the very damaging right. I will never ever look at a man with desire again. They disgust me. Its all ownership and control. They can never look at women as equals. The act of heterosexual sex is a conquest. I have never felt repelled by another female. I used to want so badly for people around me not to judge me. I was clearly a tomboyish girl, a fierce young woman, and now Im getting old. I don't really give a shit. I remember after my beloved first girlfriend passed away, many years ago now, I went round telling our mutual acquaintances were were lovers not friends. They all knew already. I was an absolute bitch for refusing to come out while she was alive. I tried my entire life to force myself into the correct shape for the rest of society, terrified of their judgement. I was an idiot.

@Chronic-Yonic @MountainSlideMama Yes to this! THe DV shelters in this city only have 30 days stays, just not long enough. If the TIMs were not taking the places, I could have had more support! As it is im in a mixed sex homeless shelter, not a dedicated women's shelter.
