Hello Fosstodon!I'm David, a web developer from València, Spain.Like most of you, I'm a FOSS advocate. In my free time, I try to create and maintain Free Software projects that can be found in my GitHub profile. My best known work is Lingva Translate, a Free and Open Source front-end for Google Translate. In addition to English, I will also toot in Spanish and Catalan in this account, but only on unlisted and private posts in order to comply with the instance's rules.Happy hacking!

Hello everyone! Hola a tothom! We're trying to get Catalan added as a language to the amazing @argosopentech engine, that powers LibreTranslate, and will also power Mastodon in the future. If you wanna help us please upvote the following request.

Does anyone here use Gnome Online Accounts integration with Nextcloud? It makes a very strange interaction for me. Nautilus automatically mounts the webdav volume every time I login after a suspend/hibernation.I did some research today trying to disable it and haven't found a single post on the Internet with this same problem. Also I discovered about the 'gio' CLI (gnome input output) and based on the output it should NOT automount.

The main addition in this release is the use of the newly discovered GTranslate endpoint (thanks to @metalune, mantainer of SimplyTranslate, for this) that brings information like the detected source, pronunciation text, definitions, examples or extra translations.

In order to ease the development and mantainance, I've extracted the whole scraping proccess (including the previous one) into an NPM package (https://github.com/thedaviddelta/lingva-scraper/).I've already implemented some of this information (like the detected source or the pronunciation texts) into main Lingva, but the bigger ones will be added when I have more time to refactor the whole UI.Anyway, all this information is already available in the REST and GraphQL APIs.

As an extra note, the theme logic has also changed. Now, the default theme on the first run will be defined by the user's system preference, unless the server admin forces a certain default theme. After the first manual toggle, the value will be read from localstorage.

⚠️ Important warning regarding Lingva:The ML top-level domain has been removed from Freenom for almost a year, and is now a paid domain. For this reason, I was unable to renew it and moved the official instance to https://lingva.thedaviddelta.comBut someone has apparently paid and registered lingva.ml and is pretending to be the official instance. For the moment I haven't detected any suspicious activity but I wouldn't recommend using it just in case.
