@stux Part of the problem, at least in the US, is that the courts have ruled that the police don't have a duty to protect citizens. So if the goal isn't to actually protect people, I think it makes it easier for them to see any use of force as justifiable. https://mises.org/power-market/police-have-no-duty-protect-you-federal-court-affirms-yet-again

@stux what really put one billion dollars into perspective for me is when I found out that if you have one billion dollars, you could spend $5k every day for 500 years and still not run out of money. That's more than anyone needs!

@stux it is really good. IMO the biggest mistake they made was releasing it on the PS4/Xbox One . Those systems had the worst version of it.

@stux this is the same guy that made the Freedom Phone! He got a bunch of right wing influencers to post that they're switching to it but as far as I know none of them ever actually switched to it. It also turned out to just be a rebranded Chinese phone lol

@stux It definitely wasn't uncommon where I grew up, but it was usually at 16 because that is when you could get your license. Most kids were gifted older used cars (this was in the late 2000s and most had cars from the 90s) but there were some kids who got brand new cars. Bike lanes are non-existent in my hometown and public transit is a bus system that turns a 10 min drive into an hour trip. There were also several of us who worked during high school to buy a car.

@stux I'm pretty sure it will be used for the Witcher 1 remake before that. That is a fantastic game, but the game play is super clunky by today's standards so I'm excited to see it get a remake.

@neirda Agreed! The theatrics can really add something to a fighter. I think the UFC wants the brand to be more important than the fighters which is why they don't let them do big entrances.
