       @NanoRaptor it was amazing power efficient.

       @NanoRaptor If Apple sold appliqués like those, I bet they’d sell very well.

       @mjg59 I’ve written bootstrap code for the 80486 and it is fun transitioning from real to protected mode in 16 bytes when there isn’t any RAM mapped to the first megabyte of address space. RAM was mapped starting at the 16th megabyte of address space, so all transitions used descriptor tables stored in Flash memory, then the real descriptor tables were copied from Flash to RAM and we set them up and jumped into them. Working in embedded systems teaches you quite a bit.

       @lowqualityfacts @flargh 2^214 is way over 10 billion. I think it’s called “the algorithm.”

       @foone @NanoRaptor It would be even better if it was keyed so that it could be inserted backwards.

       @NanoRaptor Back in the 80/90s, we had a printer room with about six of those. I don’t miss those days.

       @jamesthomson @NanoRaptor It is a bit frightening when you have so many spiders that you have to start classifying them by the time of day.

       @ricci @blakespot That strongly implies that NOCSV (Non-Oxford Comma Seperated Values) files will never have a comma before the cast column and CSV files may, or may not, have a comma before the last comma, based on the whims of the generator. Have fun parsing those files.

       @jamesthomson @NanoRaptor There is also the CR1701-D, but that is meant for enterprises.
