       @TechConnectify Yeah, I actually saw that, and had my own assumptions that the voltage difference probably makes things less... deadly.It's still very funny to me, that the US plugs are... SO so bad.Plus... even with the halved voltage... I would figure a toddler touching the prongs is still not going to have the best of times.

       @TechConnectify Well I'm glad you are still around for it! I jammed a fork into our toaster once as a kid. That also was a lesson. 😅 Cool! Yeah German outlets usually come with little plastic shutters as well by now. Even tho even baby fingers... will have a hard time to get crammed in there.I was more concerned about not properly seated plugs in the US where the plug prongs are... easy to be touched once slightly dislodged.

       @niclas @TechConnectify Ouch! Yeah I got zapped a couple times as well in my time with full 220V. It was not pleasant tho.It really depends on the path through your body and how quickly the fuses trigger. Nowadays it's all so "trigger happy" that chances of not getting hurt too badly are much better.

       @tante Das ist ziemlich genauso wie mit dem Toleranz-Paradoxon.Uns ist klar, dass unwirscher, teils "illegaler" Umgang mit Faschisten bei der breiten Masse komisch und harsch ankommt. Wir sind ja selbst alle keine Fans von Gewalt. Ganz im Gegenteil. Aber wenn wir das nicht tun, gewinnen die Faschisten. Das darf nicht zugelassen werden, und so ist maximal scheiße zu ihnen sein das kleinere aber notwendige Übel.Leider leben wir nicht in einer idealen Welt in der das nicht nötig wäre. 😭

       @ZDF Das hätte man jetzt auch etwas weniger nopologyesque schreiben können, oder? Ihr bedauert, dass es Kritik gab? Ich würde ja bedauern, dass dieser Scheiß überhaupt erst gesagt, aufgenommen und in die Öffentlichkeit gepustet wurde.Ich würde bedauern, Leute wie Precht engagiert zu haben.Ich würde bedauern, dass dümmlichster Antisemitismus niemanden sofort zum Eingreifen bewogen hat.Die Kritik würde ich jedenfalls nicht bedauern, sondern begrüßen, ernst nehmen und entsprechend handeln.

       @tante @luis_in_brief @hypebot Could part of that be met by something like voluntary relay nodes? Basically like exit nodes for Tor or snowflake relays for Signal? Someone with lots of bandwidth willing to “donate” parts of it to the network. A low power instance pushes a request once to a list of known nodes who then distribute to the myriads of user requests that might otherwise overload the instance.Just spitballing here obviously in an attempt to avoid full on recentralisation a little.
